Re: [JPP-Devel] Temporary OpenJUMP Distro for Linux...
Hei Sunburned, I was going to put this on the JPP SourceForge site, but if you don't think this is appropriate then I'll release if via the SurveyOS SourceForge site. yep would be better, because i dont know which kind of releas-nr it would have and some functions need to be changed. But if it is ready you could put a link behind the nightly built link on www.openjump.org to your download page. But maybe the others think different (@others: so please comment) stefan The Sunburned Surveyor On 10/16/06, Stefan Steiniger [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: mhm.. you know that we are available on Debian GIS? (eventually you could add some data from the win release). But I should you inform that some of the stuff is not yet ready for any official release. For instance i plan to change some function positions in the menu. I also discovered that the ThiessenPolygon algorithm has sometimes problems with unevenly distributed point data. For further open issues you may have a look on the bug list, i add usually everything bugrelated which i need to store somewhere. BTW: Where do you want to store that? What i would try to avoid is, to have it among the official releases on the sourceforge download site. greetings from paris stefan PS: if any other user or programmer in paris wanna meet me.. pls. drop a line ;) Sunburned Surveyor schrieb: I started putting together the temporary Linux distro for OpenJUMP using one of our past nightly builds. Re: [JPP-Devel] Temporary OpenJUMP Distro for Linux...
No problem Stefan. I'll put the release on the SurveyOS page with a link on the OpenJUMP Wiki. Will you be tracking your changes to the OpenJUMP CVS? I'd like to make sure that I mirror all of your commits on the SurveyOS OpenJUMP-Ex SVN repository. Re: [JPP-Devel] Temporary OpenJUMP Distro for Linux...
Stefan, I'd like to get in touch with Petter and work on a Debian package for OpenJUMP over my holiday break in December. I just intended this to be a temporary release for Linux users until our next official release which I hope we can get out by the first of next year. This distro is really just a nightly build with a modified shell script. If someone is proficient at bash scripting they don't even really need this build. But I image it will be helpful to some Linux users, especially Linux newbies. I was going to put this on the JPP SourceForge site, but if you don't think this is appropriate then I'll release if via the SurveyOS SourceForge site.
