And when I tried to draw, a tooltip came up in the upper left that said "This layer is hidden" or something similar. -The layer I was drawing on (and had been drawing on for 30 minutes, never switching) was still highlighted, as it should be. -The layer that the program thought was selected was the only top-level group layer (In the screenshot, 'Group 15') You can tell it thinks this because the layer name is bold. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 425087] New: Current active layer switches randomly to a group layer.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425087 Bug ID: 425087 Summary: Current active layer switches randomly to a group layer. Product: krita Version: nightly build (please specify the git hash!) Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Usability Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: i...@ralek.art Target Milestone: --- I'm not sure what causes it, but recently (within the last 2 weeks or so) my currently active layer switches to a group layer way more times than usual. (potentially any 'top-level' layer? Only seen so far on group layers) I only notice it when I begin trying to draw on my current working layer, and the brush doesn't work. I check my layer stack to notice that the group layer is now selected. I'm not sure how or why it got selected. I've had 0 problems with this in the year or so I've used Krita, and now the above happens at least 15 or more times in an 4-8 hour session. I may have to resort to recording my screen to try and figure out just when the switch happens. I understand this isn't currently helpful or reproducible (consistently), but it is definitely happening regularly at least for me and I figured I might as well open this for future reference. 4.3.1-alpha df3f4e8 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[okular] [Bug 425075] Internal annotations (i. e. not in PDF) are painted in multiply mode, so they look transparent even when “100% opacity” is configured.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425075 David Hurka changed: What|Removed |Added Summary|"Straight line" annotation |Internal annotations (i. e. |is always semi-transparent |not in PDF) are painted in ||multiply mode, so they look ||transparent even when “100% ||opacity” is configured. --- Comment #5 from David Hurka --- I indeed wondered about this code. The PagePainter::draw...() methods, which are responsible for drawing internal annotations, are always called with composition mode “multiply”. They are indeed 100% opaque, but “multiply” is not what you are used to see. The problem with this is that they become completely invisible e. g. when “Invert colors” is activated on a .txt document, or the document is otherwise just dark. The correct composition modes would be: “soft light” for Highlighter annotations and simply “normal” for all other annotations. “Soft light” has potentially bad performance, so another option would be to choose “multiply” or “screen” depending on the document and color mode. I assume “multiply” just evolved from a time when only Highlighter annotations and documents with light background were relevant. Future developers probably just wondered about it and adopted it, because they thought it must have some reason. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425078 --- Comment #5 from Michail Vourlakos --- The reason for the delay is because if the pop up is triggered immediately and the Dock is hidden then the pop-up will start from the screen edge and it will be out of place when the Dock finally slides in. Latte can not reposition popups On the other hand some cleverness in order for the pop-up to slide in exactly after the slide in completes might make sense. I am unable to select a directory and can only select a single file. Select all and shift and cmd clicking don't select multiple files. This is true if I use the + button or the file folder icon button. I'd like to be able to sync and combination of selected tags, but I don't see any option for that. All export options (SmugMug etc) seem to present the same dialog, though with different login options. This might be a wish list item, but I'd also like to not have to select anything off the filesystem, and use the Digikam standard interface to export any items in the current filter or by tag. Albums are insufficient for my needs. I love Digikam, but this is probably a deal breaker unless I roll some code to sync with Photos (which I might :-)). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Click the Export > Export to Flickr... menu item. 2. Select an account. 3. Click any button that prompts for files (+ or the file folder icon at the bottom). 4. [kdevelop] [Bug 407065] Debugging silently does not work without CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=DEBUG
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407065 Luís Henrique Camargo Quiroz changed: What|Removed |Added CC||luis...@gmail.com --- Comment #7 from Luís Henrique Camargo Quiroz --- This still happens with KDevelop 5.5.2 (on Debian testing). For a new and very small project the default configuration is "debug" but the compilation is not the debug one. I missed lots of time trying to check if I had configured KDevelop or the launch in wrong ways, even checked in other machines (where I had to do install, etc). Only when I decided to create a new configuration as "release" and compiled the project I saw that the executables, debug and release ones, are the same! And, after that, when I compiled again the debug version, then the executable was bigger and really with debug information, and the breakpoints started to work as they should. After... a day of work :( Steps to reproduce: 1 - Create a new project, for instance in the category Standard and type terminal; 2 - I opted not to use a version control system; 3 - A sample/initial main.c appears, I will use it (a "Hello, World!" classic) 4 - configure a launch for the debug 5 - put a breakpoint in the line that will print the "Hello, World!" 6 - start the debug session Observed result The program runs and finishes, without regard to the breakpoint However, if I create a new configuration for the project (Project/Open configuration...) of any type (debug or release) then the initial configuration will bbe compiled as a debug version. FIX I noticed, while writing here in the debug tracker, that if I had selected Project/Configure the selection after the initial project was created, then the compilation will be correct, with debug information, and breakpoints work -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 393929] Plasmashell gobbles all my memory leak
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393929 --- Comment #27 from whoopsdecade --- RE: heaptrack file. The rendering backend is set to software and it's been that way since it was recommended here, just got around to doing the heaptrack. Throughout this time I saw plasmashell leak memory just the same as before, maybe leaking at a lower rate but leaking nonetheless. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 393929] Plasmashell gobbles all my memory leak
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393929 --- Comment #26 from whoopsdecade --- The plasmashell process is consuming 1.1GB right now with system uptime of 20 days. The plasmashell memory consumption just keeps increasing, steadily, over time denoting a memory leak as reported. I have never seen it consume something as dramatic as 7gb in 5 days but it's clear to me if I don't restart the session for 120 days it could get close to that (if plasmashell doesn't restart itself as it does every now and then :sigh:). The heaptrack was uploaded here https://www.dropbox.com/s/6u6q6ato6jr2k7o/heaptrack.plasmashell.495556.gz since even compressed it's around 52MBs. It encompasses a couple of hours. Please note that heaptrack is still running but I don't know if it is supposed to finish by itself or if it's just going to keep running while the process is still going. Please let me know so I can kill it or leave it running for longer if you need me to. If you need anything else please just let me know. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[okular] [Bug 425076] New: Print to File - can't print a specific page(s)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425076 Bug ID: 425076 Summary: Print to File - can't print a specific page(s) Product: okular Version: 1.10.3 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: printing Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org Reporter: bingmyb...@btinternet.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Print a PDF document to PDF does not allow you to print just a few selected pages. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. run okular and load an existing PDF 2. Select print function 3. Choose Print to File (PDF) OBSERVED RESULT 4. Only option allowed is to print complete file EXPECTED RESULT Be allowed to print a selection of pages to a PDF file. The reason for wanting to do this is that i just received a PDF file containing boarding passes for 2 people each separated by a blank page and i wanted to split the file up and send the 2 people their own boarding passes and without the blank pages. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS opensuse:tumbleweed:20200803 Qt: 5.15.0 KDE Frameworks: 5.72.0 - KDE Plasma: 5.19.4 - kwin 5.19.4 kmail2 5.14.3 (20.04.3) - akonadiserver 5.14.3 (20.04.3) - Kernel: 5.7.11-1-default - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION If i leave the printer set to a physical printer, i can then select the pages i want. If i then change the printer to "Print to File", it leaves the choices intact but totally ignores it and prints the complete file to a new PDF. The newly printed PDF exists on the disk with its new name but if you load it in okular, it thinks its reading the original file as it shows the original name in the title. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
