I can not reproduce the problem. I have selected an range from 2005-2018 and
the images are displayed. Depending on the number of displayed images, it may
take a while for the result to appear. But that's another problem when filling
the Icon view with such a large number of images and a bug report already
exists.

Fixed with next 6.0.0 release which integrate a new video metadata parser based
on FFMPEg instead Exiv2. Now, video can be managed really as photo and there is
no more Exiv2 crash comming from video file parsing process to populate the

Updated screenshot after editing kateschemasrc.

Lack of boldface issue was fixed. However, see the following remaning issues:

a) in \section{content} and in many other keywords, 'content' is the same color
as the keyword.

b) may keywords such as \item have a color that is both ugly and with very poor
contrast against a white background.

Add workaround for crash when linking to Exempi and reading Exiv data

For now, add a very crude workaround to avoid using the EXIV metadata
extractor from KFileMetaData when Exempi is also used. I can't figure
out how to avoid the crash otherwise.

Cristoph, I found those bogus entries in .config/kateschemarc

I hope this fixes the lack of boldface.

However, the other issues remain.

I'm now upgrading Plasma/Frameworks/Applications and when it's done I'll check
if this was successful.

Thank you Cristoph.

Checked those files you suggested and there's absolutely no mention of any
'Normal' or 'Regular' font in any of the files you mentioned.

Moreover: even in case I would be a victim of the bug you mention, that only
refers to bold face. Please note:

a) even then, in \section{contents} the color would be the same both for
\section{} and contents;

b) even then, \item and similar keywords have an extremely poor contrast (and a
very ugly, light and poor color choice in my opinion).

In the timeline panel, it is possible to select a range of dates, and all the
pictures within that range are displayed in the thumbnail view. However, if the
range is too wide, no picture is displayed. I guess it has to do with the
amount of pictures in the selection.

This is important since selecting the whole time range is the only possible way
to see and filter pictures from all collections at once.

I have attached a couple of screenshots, one showing that the range 2010-2018
works, but the range 2009-2018 doesn't. They can be seen here:

I have the same problem, sometimes when I reboot my laptop the battery monitor
shows no battery present and if I relogin it shows it correctly.

I noticed that if I reboot my laptop with my wireless mouse's dongle unplugged
the battery monitor usually works fine.

With the mouse's wireless dongle plugged in, it usually fails to detect any
battery.

Maybe it's something related to trying to detect the mouse's battery?

I remember reading on Planet KDE that the battery monitor should show you
mouse/keyboard battery status but it never worked for me.

Screenshot. Selection contains 7 items, but none are shown.

When grouping pictures, all but the first one appears in albums, tags, searches
or timeline. The rest, even if in these sections they count as valid elements
for the total number displayed, are invisible.

For instance, let's say 2 pictures from a 30 picture album were grouped with
copies in another folder. In the treeview, the folder will still show the
number 30, but only 28 will be displayed in the thumbnail view, with no
indication whatsoever that there are 2 additional pictures somewhere.

Another example: After reorganizing some duplicated face tags, there's one tag
still containing two elements, but none of them are shown when selected and
cannot be found, as probably these two pictures are part of some group.

I think the correct behavior would be to show them, with the whole group if
possible, when a tag or a folder or a timepoint is selected in the left panel.
Right now that only happens for the picture on top of the group, not for the
rest.

I've attached one screenshot as a sample. Notice how August 1947 is selected,
containing 7 items, but none of them are shown in the thumbnail view, and at
the bottom left it indicates "No item selected (0 items)".

Bug:

With Dynamic Word Wrap on, and a wrapped line at the bottom of the window, when
moving the cursor down or right inside the wrapped line so that it passes
beyond the visible text, kwrite/kate fails to automatically scroll down to keep
pace with the cursor. The "Line x, Column y" readout in the lower-left-hand
corner of the window continues to update, showing that the cursor is moving,
but the cursor is past the bottom edge of the screen and isn't visible. The
window only updates and scrolls down to "catch up" to the cursor when the
cursor hits the end of the wrapped line.

Note that kwrite/kate only fails to scroll down -- for a wrapped line at the
top of the window, moving the cursor up or left results in the screen scrolling
up just fine.

Scrolling down works fine for lines that aren't long enough to be dynamically
wrapped. Similarly, with Dynamic Word Wrap off, moving the cursor down scrolls
fine, and moving the cursor right on a long line scrolls to the right fine.

Before I updated my KDE Frameworks packages today, this issue wasn't present in
the last version I was using -- either 5.41 or 5.42.

Hello.if u keep adding things to the panel via ' pin to task manager',  each
subsequent icon in the panel becomes smaller and smaller.  Im running kde neon
latest version with kernel 4.15

I have 'begin' and 'section' in bold. You are probably seeing bug 378523.
Please check kdeglobals, katerc/kwriterc and kilerc configuration files or
profiles for font entries with a bogus style name (usually 'Normal' or
'Regular') added. Removing these should make the bold entries appear in bold.

When I add app into favorite list, icon is added. But when Plasma is quit and

If I delete a picture (Shift+Del) which is inside a group (I usually group
duplicated pictures), that picture still appears in the thumbnail view as part
of that group, which you can show and hide. 

Double clicking the image just gives you a blank preview windows, and deleting
it again shows a message saying  "File/folder  does not
exist".

Re-reading the metadata or updating the thumbnails does not seem to remove the
non-existent picture from the thumbnail view. Ungrouping the picture previous
to its deletion seems to work, though.

Please note:
a) how the sections are not highlighted vs. regular text
b) how \begin and \end are not highlighted.
c) how \item is in a color with little contrast re: screen background.

And this is the KDE colorscheme. Let's not even get started with other schemes,
such as solarized or solarized-dark.

In the "About" box is 2.9.2

Kate is 17.12.2

Plasma is 5.12.0 (about to be upgraded to 5.12.3)

Frameworks is 5.44.0.

I had 3 tabs opened and dolphin crashed on close after I moved some files.

Ok, so now what I find is that running clinfo under heaptrack causes a
segfault. I can get some more information if I run `heaptrack -d clinfo`.
Sadly, the segmentation fault happens inside the proprietary Intel OpenCL
platform. I suspect that one of the LD preloads is interfering. The backtrace
