[plasma-pa] [Bug 409325] Changing volume via mouse wheel does not respect custom "Volume step" value when scrolling directly over the entry of an audio device or application
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409325 gvgeo changed: What|Removed |Added CC||gv...@protonmail.com --- Comment #3 from gvgeo --- Created attachment 126048 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=126048=edit Patch As this tracks attention, I will post the patch here. Unfortunately there is a bug that prevents from applying. https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-76136 This prevents finer volume setting while dragging with mouse on slider.(It will snap based on volume step.) Proper function with PC2 cannot achieved, there is a limitation in QQC1 of max 20 steps. Currently there is not any effective step. This means minimum step is 6 or 8 when max volume is raised. If a smaller step is set, will jump to the next step. E.g. If set 5, will jump every 10. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[frameworks-qqc2-desktop-style] [Bug 417690] New: Oversized cursor in Wayland - goes normal on non-qt area
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417690 Bug ID: 417690 Summary: Oversized cursor in Wayland - goes normal on non-qt area Product: frameworks-qqc2-desktop-style Version: 5.67.0 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: notm...@gmail.com Reporter: michal.dybc...@gmail.com CC: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Log into Wayland, see the cursor's size and compare to the size in Xorg session. 2. Open an unmaximized window with titlebar. 3. Hover the cursor over the titlebar (set aurorae theme to be not breeze, like breezmite or others) and off the titlebar area. Hover it over Dolphn, Calculator and some non-Qt app. OBSERVED RESULT Notice how size changes, it's normal over the titlebar or non-qt area, goes oversized outside the area. So basically, when you open Qt app like Dolphin and Calculator, an oversized cursor is gone only over the titlebar. When opening Firefox, Filezilla or any non-Qt app, the cursor is normal within the whole window (so titlebar and the app window), goes oversized outside of the window. EXPECTED RESULT Cursor's size should be correct, like in Xorg session, also not changing based on where it hovers over. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417686 Bug ID: 417686 Summary: Certain KDE/Plasma components don't respect touchpad scroll direction setting in Wayland with Qt 5.14.x Product: plasmashell Version: 5.18.0 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: generic-wayland Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: bsmith7...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY In certain parts of Plasma, the Touchpad scroll direction setting is reversed when running a Plasma Wayland Session with Qt 5.14.x. This bug started for me in Plasma 5.17 when Manjaro & Arch updated to Qt 5.14. It still persists in Plasma 5.18 with Qt 5.14.1. Most apps respect the setting, but scrolling direction is reversed in the System Settings app, the Application Launcher, and the wifi networks list in the plasma-nm taskbar applet. [Scrolling in other areas may also be affected; these are the only ones I've noticed.] STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a Plasma Wayland Session with Qt 5.14.x. 2. In System Setttings, Input Devices, Touchpad: Choose your preference for "Invert Scroll Direction (Natural Scrolling)". 3. Attempt to scroll using the touchpad in the list of System Settings modules, the application launcher, or the wifi networks in the plasma-nm taskbar applet. OBSERVED RESULT The scrolling direction is opposite of the setting. EXPECTED RESULT The scrolling direction is the same as the setting. I'm tempted to say that using pavucontrol is an acceptable workaround in such an edge-case scenario, but perhaps we should re-add the port selector in the KCM, where we have more room. As you can see, we didn't consider this use case. Perhaps we should have. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417679 Aaron Puchert changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|0 |1 CC||aaronpuch...@alice-dsl.net Status|REPORTED|CONFIRMED --- Comment #1 from Aaron Puchert --- Looks valid to me. The template is only declared in kdev-pg/kdev-pg-code-gen.h, while the definition is in kdev-pg/kdev-pg-code-gen.cpp. When the template is referenced from kdev-pg/kdev-pg-ast-gen.cpp, the definition isn't available, so the compiler can't instantiate the template. The solution would be to move the template to the header file or instantiate all necessary variants explicitly [1]. By the way, Clang can warn about situations like that with -Wundefined-func-template. [gwenview] [Bug 411196] Gwenview very slow to launch while the top item in the system clipboard was sent by KDE Connect using the shared clipboard feature
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411196 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added CC||albertv...@gmail.com, ||nicolas.fe...@gmx.de Ever confirmed|0 |1 Summary|gwenview very slow to |Gwenview very slow to |launch |launch while the top item ||in the system clipboard was ||sent by KDE Connect using ||the shared clipboard ||feature Status|REPORTED|CONFIRMED --- Comment #16 from Nate Graham --- I share your suspicion that KDE Connect has something to do with it. IN fact, I can confirm it! I just copied a URL to an image on my phone, grabbed it off the synced clipboard on my computer, downloaded the image, and opened it in Gwenview, which hung. While it was still hung, I opened the klipper applet in the system tray and deleted the clipboard entry for the URL. Immediately Gwenview sprang to life. I was not able to reproduce the issue by adding that same URL to the clipboard on the host machine, but I then reproduced the issue by copying any other text on my phone (not even a URL, just ordinary text) while using a synced clipboard. As long as the top item in the host clipboard came from KDE Connect, Gwenview hung on launch. The moment I deleted the KDEConnect-originated issue, Gwenview launched instantly. KDE Connect folks (CC'd), any ideas? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Discover] [Bug 417550] KCalc is not installed but Discover says KCalc is installed
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417550 --- Comment #2 from Andrey Bondarenko --- Nate, like i said it earlier I had to install the Kcalc via a command line. but i remember that when I was searching for a calculator through a Launcher it showed me that I had not any calculator. So i searched for it in Discover. and it said that Kcalc was installed and the button Remove. I clicked it and a warning "Confirm package removal this action will also remove the folliwing packages (and the enumeration: Quick Share, Color Picker, Dictionary, Fuzzzy Clock, Notes, etc. (i have a screenshot) Now, after installing the app via a command line, i see it has the Remove, Launch buttons. I clicked Remove and the app has been removed without the warning that it would delete additional packages. i will try to install Manjaro KDE and inform you if there is the error again. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Could be an issue with your fontconfig files. Still, that must be unrelated. Can confirm the issue with 1.5x and 2.x scale factors. Could be an issue in the Emoji panel, or it could be an issue in Kirigami with collapsible drawer icons. Starting here. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 14/02/2020 at 22:08. Pushed by filipf into branch 'Plasma/5.18'. Don't let the Advanced tab's spacers expand all they want Summary: We have 3 vertical spacers in the Advanced tab and they're defined as Expanding. [yakuake] [Bug 417632] Please fix this on-going bug as stated in multiple reports! Thanks
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417632 --- Comment #9 from Gregory Ernest --- They are all the same issue has been from the start. Never had a problem until changing from Samsung TV to Toshiba TV. that is when it started. In one of my bug reports I pointed that out and gave the model # and other information about this TV. It is a Fire TV I purchased from Amazon, I use HDMI, and agin it has only occurred with the TV model. Don't have a clue why, though sending bug reports after each update to Yakuake would be the fix, but no , it has remained an issue. I also took a screenshot if it can be found of what I am talking about? Don't know if it is there or not but can get another if desired. What ever I an supply I will do my darn best to help you guys out. I hold no bias against any of you. you are overworked and under paid that is just the facts of the matter. No matter what you decide I can adjust. Just let me know. I do not know how to summit a patch, I am a Nurse? Sorry not much I think I can do there, unless you provide me good instructions on how to do it. I will try hard. Please have a great weekend, I am fine doing what I am doing to get it to function.
