This is helpful when wanting to batch rename directories by just highlighting them via Dolphin File Manager. Currently the only two options are not useful because they open files we don't want. If we choose a GTK Theme from the new GTK-Application Style KCM then it will choose a uniform look for GTK3/GTK2 apps. I'm currently using "gtk-chtheme" from the repo to preview and make GTK2-apps use my QT-Curve Theme. If I try other GTK2 themes like Crux and Clearlooks then they will most likely not properly work as they "absorb" settings from the GTK2 Theme if it comes bundled inside it's parent GTK Theme Folder. In other words for GTK2 Themes to properly work on GIMP, we have to remove the GTK2 folder from the main GTK-Theme chosen from the new KCM. Having the old option to have different themes for GTK3 and GTK2 was very handy for QT-CUrve users. Please bring it back. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I think it would be great if KDE forked a version of it, either as a KCM-Module, Dolphin Plug-In, or a stand alone app. Xcursor Github: https://github.com/drizt/xcursor-viewer -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[dolphin] [Bug 416633] Middle-click+drag to scroll
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416633 --- Comment #2 from Xeno Idaltu --- Thank you Aldrin. I like the way I navigate on Dolphin now, however there are two issues. 1) Firefox, Falkon, Chromium, etc have now lost the "image/icon" that shows up under our cursor when we press/hold the middle button. I think we should edit Breeze Cursor themes to make the "all-scroll" image/icon show up instead. The tricky part is what name/numbers to use. Years ago, I saw a GitHub page with all possible names/numbers to use but currently don't have enough time to search around the web. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Breeze] [Bug 439927] New: Breeze Cursor won't use Scroll icon when pressed
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439927 Bug ID: 439927 Summary: Breeze Cursor won't use Scroll icon when pressed Product: Breeze Version: unspecified Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: task Priority: NOR Component: Icons Assignee: visual-des...@kde.org Reporter: xenoida...@gmail.com CC: kain...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- On Firefox we enable Smooth Scroll. We press the middle button of our mouse, a circular icon shows up letting us know we can now scroll around. - Dolphin File Manager lacks this feature so I made a Xorg Configuration. 1) First I installed Xinput from Debian repos 2) I created file: /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/40-libinput.conf 3) Inside the file I used this: Section "InputClass" Identifier "libinput pointer catchall" MatchIsPointer "on" MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*" Option "ScrollMethod" "button" Driver "libinput" EndSection = Everything works with the exception of the icon that shows up everytime we press the middle button. This icon no longer shows up on Firefox, Chromium, Falkon, etc. This has led me to believe that we must configure the Breeze Cursor Theme. Plasma's Breeze Cursor theme has an icon labeled "all-scroll" that should show up when pressing the middle button, maybe we need to use another word or a set of numbers. I theorize this because I've seen this behavior with Oxygen Cursor Themes where "size_bdiag" and "size_fdiag" revert back to Plasma's default Breeze Cursor "size_bdiag" and "size_fdiag". This happens because Oxygen Cursor Themes were made for KDE4 and lack certain name tagging. This is fixed by adding "ne_resize", "sw_resize", "nw_resize", "se_resize" to "size_bdiag" and "size_fdiag". Years ago when I was learning about this issue I came accross a Github page that had all possible names/numbers of Xcursor themes. Dolphin on KDE5 lacks Xcursor previews. Xcursor-Viewer needs to be installed to view Cursor themes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

In this case, the .mod issue should > probably be filed separately. I used command "mediainfo" and got same results. The reason Grub2's .mod files are labeled as Amiga is because the person who made the Breeze Icon theme probably left it like that. [QtCurve] [Bug 429201] Some themes make Kup-Backup and Falkon crash or not properly work.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429201 --- Comment #4 from Xeno Idaltu --- I used a Live ISO of Kubuntu 20.04 LTS, it comes with the following: KDE Plasma 5.18.4 KDE Frameworks 5.68.0 Qt 5.12.8 Linux Kernel 5.4.0-26-generic I installed QT-Curve and used my favorite theme on it. These were the results: 1) Falkon Browser: The integration is now flawless, controls are now responsive and everything seemed to work as it should. Couldn't test it further because QT5-WebEngine kept crashing. It crashes when using Nouveau Drivers. This problem is solved by installing Nvidia Propietary drivers. 2) Kup-Backup: It also kept crashing when using my QT-Curve theme but not the default QT-Curve theme. Nothing changed. == Synopsis: Based on this I can say that upgrading to newer KDE-QT versions will solve the issue with Falkon but not Kup-Backup. I already compared six QT-Curve themes. Three that work and three that don't and didn't see any major difference but the different use of gradients. Maybe it has to do with how much gradient we are using or something.. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 418135] Not all QT5/QT4 based apps show the same Pop-Up Window when opening files.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418135 --- Comment #2 from Xeno Idaltu --- (In reply to David Edmundson from comment #1) > We can't control from a desktop what other apps do internally > > The most we provide is a "platform integration" plugin, that Qt5 apps load. > This will adjust the open dialog to use the "best" one. Apps can disable it > and apps loaded through snaps/flatpak/appimage may not be able to use it > depending on how it is packaged. It looks like the "pop-up window" I am referring to is called KDialog. Is there a way to make a QT4 application use KDialog instead of the Basic QT4-OpenFile Dialog? PuddleTag, a QT4 App, ceased maintenance on 2016 yet OpenSuse-KDE makes PuddleTag use KDialog instead. I need this feature because I have files on an external drive and when using QT4 apps I have to click all the way to my desired path. Sometimes 10 clicks per file and doing it on a regular basis is time consuming and inefficient. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 418135] New: Not all QT5/QT4 based apps show the same Pop-Up Window when opening files.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418135 Bug ID: 418135 Summary: Not all QT5/QT4 based apps show the same Pop-Up Window when opening files. Product: plasmashell Version: 5.14.5 Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: xenoida...@gmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 I don't know how exactly it works but I've noticed that there are three different window screens can appear when opening a file from a QT based app. I'm talking about the small window that pops out when we want to open a file from a specific program. On most programs, we go to the File Tab on the upper Menu Bar and then click on Open File. There are three types of windows that will show up depending on the program currently using. 1) Best Pop-Up Window: This window allows us to use the Show Aside Preview, View Hidden Files, and the Shortcut Paths are customizable within the window. If we Add An Entry on Dolphin, it will appear on all QT-based programs using this particular window style. Very handy. ##This window will open when using: Gwenview, KolourPaint, Kwrite, VLC, and Krita. 2) QT5 Pop-Up Window: This window style doesn't allow us to use Show Aside Preview, show hidden files, and we can't change the Shortcut Paths. I don't know exactly how this window decided to use some of my manually made directories as shortcut paths. ##This window will open when using: Kvantum, Kid3, LMMS 1.2 3) QT4 Pop-Up Window: This window behaves exactly the same as the previous one only that this is for QT4 based apps. ##This window will open when using: PuddleTag, LMMS 1.1 UPDATE# After browsing around i found out that I can edit path entries for QT5 Pop-Up windows by editing file QtProject.conf /home/USER/.config/QtProject.conf This will only work for QT5 apps but not for QT4 apps. I've looked around and I don't see any file. I looked inside PuddleTag and nothing. Also, this problem happens in Kubuntu 18.04 and Debian 10. On OpenSuse, Puddletag uses what I call Best Pop-Up Window. I don't know if OpenSuse developers fixed this issue or if this something that was never truly fixed on Debian/Ubuntu. I have another question. Smoothscrool using the mouse doesn't work on Debian 10 but it does work on Kubuntu. I checked everything and the only differences are the Kernels and QT Versions. [kxkb] [Bug 410806] New: Adding Keyboard Layout shortcuts disables Global shortcuts.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410806 Bug ID: 410806 Summary: Adding Keyboard Layout shortcuts disables Global shortcuts. Product: kxkb Version: unspecified Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: xenoida...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Keyboard Model: Genetic 101-Key PC Language: English Layout: EurKey (US based layout with european letters) 3rd Level Shortcut: Left Alt key I didn't do any major changes. I only removed my old layout and only using the EurKEY layout instead. The words ø, œ, ñ, etc work when using the Alt Left key but all the other shortcuts that require the Alt key no longer work. I tried Ctrl key and the Menu key instead but the shortcuts associated with those commands cease to work. [plasmashell] [Bug 410684] New: WiFi icon dissapears from System Tray
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410684 Bug ID: 410684 Summary: WiFi icon dissapears from System Tray Product: plasmashell Version: 5.12.4 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: System Tray Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: xenoida...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 I've had this problem before when using Manjaro KDE. I'm not sure if it's a kernel problem or if it's a KDE problem. The problem happens whenever I disable WiFi connection or if I enable Airplane Mode from the System Tray. The only way to fix this issue is by restarting the Network Manager via SystemD. [kio-extras] [Bug 400836] New: Request to enable X11 Xcursor thumbnail preview.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400836 Bug ID: 400836 Summary: Request to enable X11 Xcursor thumbnail preview. Product: kio-extras Version: unspecified Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Thumbnails and previews Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: xenoida...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- For some reason cursor thumbnails were disabled from Dolphin's default thumbnails. I find it weird since KDE4 came with cursors enabled by default. Could it be because KDE moved from X-Window to Wayland? Having the cursor thumbnails enabled, helps people learn what images are used for each cursor action in case they might want to design their own cursors without running into technical problems.
