When and if I get the chance to visit Berlin, can I stop in and say hello? :-)
Because yes, I would put the KDE e.V. headquarters on my sightseeing list! (My
wife thinks I’m crazy.)

new KDE e.V. office

2018-02-19 Thread Lydia Pintscher
Hey folks :)

KDE e.V. has been looking for a new office over the past weeks. Petra
has been doing a lot of work scouting suitable locations and found a
very nice place for us. Last Thursday we moved in.

The new office is in the Aufbau Haus in Berlin. The new address is:
KDE e.V.
Prinzenstraße 85 F
10969 Berlin

We will do a small house-warming party as part of the next board
meeting on the weekend of April 28th.

Cheers
Lydia

PS: if you see the old address anywhere please add the place to
https://phabricator.kde.org/T7931 so we can update them all.

I have in the past approached several companies trying to get them to
support KDE e.V, and one of my selling points have been to be "first in
thought" when kde people are looking for jobs.

The Qt forum has a job section. I would rather not attract recruiters, but
I am very sceptical about them in general. They can easily go over the
border disrespecting privacy and ethical values.

Even if I just look at that Debian list, most of it is somewhat unrelated
to Debian.

Yes, I understand job offers might not be the cup of tea as far as
this list is concerned, but I think it's a great idea to have a
dedicated list that allows job posters to advertise their
requirements.
As an example, I know the Debian community maintains one such list as
well : https://lists.debian.org/debian-jobs/

If this is not the right list for such offers, is there then another
mailing list or some other place in KDE for it? If not, would it be a
good idea to create such a place?

Absolutely awesome!

Thanks to the KDE community in general and those who made this happen.
