Folks, I'm on HP ProBook 6360b, and I've experienced this issue on
Ubuntu 13.04 every day. I've switched my kernel to 3.11.6 from saucy,
and problem had gone. It works good with 13.04, I had uptime of about a
month.

Laudeci Oliveira, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't
been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
Gabriel, indeed the PrepareForSleep false signal is still missing. I
now have run out of ideas why that would be, as the communication
between shim and logind seems fine. Also, I cannot reproduce this at all
with adding sleeps to places. This needs to be studied in more detail to
get more ideas

I don't think I ever had a release prior to precise running on the laptop -
I was using the development ISOs when I first got the machine about 2 years
ago. As I recall it was really hard to get it running at all (I had to use
the server CD) - things have improved since then ;-)

Can you just adjust the header file to get it compiled? I have no idea

I have observed the case a bit more.
When machine is coming out of hibernation - the opensuse boot screen
experiences corruption: 1/4 of the screen is drawn correct - the rest contains
garbage. The pattern is pretty same - the screen is cut by four triangles with
basements along the sides.
The patch to fix this is also now available in the upstream 3.11.9
kernel as commit 747b00783906993edb8289641d92663e87b3a3f3
