Concerninig the context of this issue: I had an old Ubuntu 12.04; I decided to
upgrade it to 18.04 version and, in the same time, to upgrade the hardware of
my old PC: Asus M/B AMD A320M-C (AM4) as motherboard, and AMD CPU Ryzen 3

I can confirm this is a regression between Artful and Bionic.
I downloaded the 4.17-rc3 kernel yesterday afternoon, and it seems to be
stable for me.
I'm going to try to make time to bisect which commit contains the fix,
which will likely take a couple of weeks. Since the dock is at work I'll

kvm/xenial kernel. Given that, then CONFIG_DEBUG_RODATA should be

We could not able to install 'sar' package due to 166588 prior patch. And also
'xfs' was being used on the system from the prior run. To overcome both, we
planned fresh installation . Installed latest ubutnu1804
