X is running, the going down process is fine, but when waking up, it
hangs on X and freeze.

I installed kernel 3.18, which booted normally, but the same problems as before
exist. The mouse is not recognized properly and the keyboard does not respond
at all (it shows some messages about maximum number of hid usages being
exceeded at startup).

btrfs fsync() is extremely slow
N550JK has also FocalTech (not Elantech) touchpad but different from
X553MA. N550JK has touchpad that has pnp id FLT0101 whereas X553MA has
touchpad with pnp id FLT0102. The same driver should handle both though
but I don't know if FLT0101 works at the moment.

tracked, could you please file a new report with Ubuntu by executing the
following in a terminal while booted into the default Ubuntu
I started a kernel bisect between v3.13.11.10 and v3.13.11.11. The
kernel bisect will require testing of about 7-10 test kernels.
I built the first test kernel, up to the following commit:
faabc0f89f64062c18fc047f0008b45556be1efd
The test kernel can be downloaded from:

The Fn+f5 and Fn+f6 for decrease and increase brightness work but only
from 10 to 9 decreasing and get stuck at 9. Then increasing works from 9
to 10 and gets stuck at 10. Also Fn+f7 works to toggle the backlight on
and off.
With xev I get
This automatic bug is expected if the system runs out of battery while
suspended.
