Another issue I can see here is that your audio devices are being used
by jackdbus. That daemon might be used by Ubuntu Studio, but it's not
part of normal Ubuntu and we don't see this kind of issue in normal

I have exactly the same problem. I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on Lenovo Legion
Y540, I have configured a swap partition instead of a swap file and I have
updated both /etc/fstab and /etc/default/grub files (and run update-initramfs
and update-grub).
When I try to hibernate with systemctl
The kernel 5.0.0-37 most likely solved the problem. Comp did not freeze.

Thanks. It looks like "unplugged" is just what the GUI says when ALSA
reports available as "no" or "unknown". So as a first step this sounds
like a kernel change and not a problem with the configuration GUI. This
possibly also rules out PulseAudio since I think we're seeing the same
