Unable to reproduce unfortunately. In fact it has not reoccurred, since
I filed this bug. Will reopen if it happens again, but I am moving to
the more recent released kernel... 4.10.0-15 -> 4.10.0-19.
Not sure what status to mark this bug as until I can get a repro of it.

With any kernel from 4.4.0-21 to 4.4.0-66 everything works fine. Update
to 4.4.0-67 - 72 and machines crash with out-of-memory if I make

Experiencing same problem on Debian Jessie on Lenovo G40-30. After
assigning pin 0x18 to microphone acpi_listen prints that microphone is
plugged in but pavucontrol still shows mic as unplugged. Also trying to
boost appeared after pin assignment microphone in alsamixer makes large

Then re-install the package or updates.
