But good point! Because many Nvidia owners are actually using a hybrid
machine where the Intel GPU is wired to the screen, not the Nvidia GPU.

I've been running a couple of days not on the new release from eoan-
proposed: 5.3.0-53-generic and this solved the docker issues introduced
by earlier versions. So far no GPU hangs either. Not sure if anything
related to this bug was changed in -53 in comparison to -52, but it's
looking good.

I've removed an unused variable from the "s390/pci: Recover handle in
clp_set_pci_fn" patch fixing a compiler warning.
Also I've tested both backported patches together now. There is no zpcictl on

don't know for sure that the hanging on boot followed by me forcing

Note that I reproduced this in an amd64 VM with today's beta snaps
booted with -m 512 MB, so I think this is just that uc20 currently
requires more than 512 MB of RAM to boot at all...

When the image boots, it first hits a kernel panic. Then the Grub menu
appears, counts down and
successfully boots.

I disabled quiet and enabled early printk and was able to get a full

@QuanXian, actually it is in 20.04 LTS now. It's landed to generic
kernel and has also been included in 20.04 iso. You should be able to
boot a vmd-featured machine with Focal generic kernel.
