Has anybody idea/experience on this sigle side with 0R SMD bridges
design? Maybe has the new version a feature on this? I think, the
ability of changing the via shape to rectangular would be enough.

I read the Single layer PCB ... bridges on top layer thread, and it
seems, the SMD solution is not
The 0R links are standard SMD resistor components so just place them on the
board as you would an 0603 (or whatever size) resistor. There is a little
game of tag to go through with the schematic to get them in the right place
(if you want everything to match up) but it works fine.
