[kicad-users] Re: NE556 Timer
Hi, The part is split into 2 parts. Part A has 8 pins (6 pins + 2 power pins) and part B has 6 pins. Both Parts A and B need to be placed on the schematic, this will give you U?A and U?B. Hope this has solved the problem. Re: [kicad-users] Re: module numbering
what you say seems reasonable. i was not trying to change any of the module numbers. i had only made some changes to the wiring and then ran netlist to include the changes in the pcb layout. netlist (or something) made changes in the numbering of the modules in the eeschema drawing when i went back and looked. very frustrating!! erc ran ok. it is version 2007-07-09 thanks dave yajeed2000 wrote: > Hi, > When making changes in the schematic you have the option of re > annotating (renumbering)new symbols/parts only or all of them at once. > Before creating the netlist did you do an electrical rule check and > did you reannotate the schematic. Re: [kicad-users] Kicad or another tool
Hi Chris, I'm not a Mac but I've seen a couple of messages about compiling Kicad on Mac lately, probably on the developer mailing list. You should have a look at the archives. From what I remember, there have been some work done to improve compiling on Mac OS but there are some issues with wxwidgets 2.8. You may have to use 2.6. [kicad-users] Re: NE556 Timer
Hi, I do not see an NE556 listed in the default linear EESchema library, only an LM555N. Did you make this symbol yourself? Or have you imported a libray from Eagle or Orcad. Please let us know. In any case if any symbol is incorrect it is very easy to edit and keep locally. A changed/corrected symbol could then be uploaded to the files section. [kicad-users] Re: module numbering
Hi, When making changes in the schematic you have the option of re annotating (renumbering)new symbols/parts only or all of them at once. Before creating the netlist did you do an electrical rule check and did you reannotate the schematic. It's best to follow these steps when making changes. Also which version are you using just in case it's a bug (for the benefit of developers please mention this). [kicad-users] NE556 Timer
The NE556 timers in the Linear library appear to be wrong. They are 14 pin devices, but only 8 pins are shown. Or am I doing something wrong?

Hi All, Is it possible to rotate a block by 45 deg. Regards, Vikas

I personally believe that the idea of donation is not just about money but it is 'mainly' a sign on how the actual "users" really believe in all efforts which gave birth to Kicad and have kept it uptodate as much as possible. Perhaps the first step might be to get a list of the users who are willing to donate when possible... by a 'poll' for example. I think the length of the list will help some here on how to suggest further steps. By the way, I couldn't raise this point long ago because I am from Syria. As you may know, due to recent US sanction it is rather impossible for someone here to donate for or even purchase any foreign work mainly on the internet. But I hope you can find me a way to contribute with other Kicad users when possible. Meanwhile, big thanks to all Kicad developpers and of course to our humble friend... Jean-Pierre Charras. Kerim
