Re: [kicad-users] Re: Component with differnet parts ???

2008-04-24 Thread Alain M.
Yesterday I found 2 bugs related to this:

1) in the edit pin window there is an option [ ] Common to all
elements (may not be the exact wording, I am retranslating). This
option is *off* but the pin is used in all elements. *Workaround*: set
it to ON, press Ok, edit the pin again and set it to OFF. Then it
works as expected.

2) if I edit a component like 74HC14, in the library there are 2
connections to VCC and GND. There is nowhere to edit or delete them.
*Workaround*: edit the file manualy

Please, anyone, tell me if there is a better way of doing it that I was
unable to find, or if theis is a really a bug

Thanks,
Alain

OK, i think i understand now.

 Thanks.

But what about ground and power inputs ?
Must i make them appeared or not ? (invisible option ?)

for example, for a audio filter or an ampli op., there is +Vcc - Vcc.
thses pins must be drawn for each parts or only the first one ?

 thanks

 Hi,

using a quad nand 74hc00 per ex., you have one component with
4 gates. Adding an 74hc00, you always get the first gate (pins 1,
2 3). So, you need to select which unit you want to use
 (Edite Composant = Unite = Unit 1, 2, 3 or 4).

When you create a new component, you have to specify the number
of parts or units. Default is 1.

You can also use this feature to split a big component.
You can see here a xc2v3000 fpga (one part) and a xc2v3000 with
 9 parts :

 Charles.

but but means this function ???)

I am french if you want to answer in french. And i read english

 Thanks
