Thanks Mark and others for the info on carbs. I talked with Ellison as well today and they said it was a bolt on and forget it. They also stated that the carb seems to be more efficient then the others which I had listed. Some of the other manufactures you have to change crap on the carb for

Keep it simple. As long as you factor in the permeability of balloon latex. You'd have to subtract the permeability losses over time to calculate the scope of a leak. I dont have the permeability of latex to air molecules (if you arent using another gas with larger molecules), but you should

So, I'm finally getting started on my airplane I bought while I was deployed. I conned a friend to help me by giving him the completed frame of my Super Koala (his father is one of those who wanted a low and slow aircraft). Tomorrow we are going to break ground on some of the projects I have

My Zenith has a choke. No need for a primer. The 2180 VW starts immediately in any ambient temperature. There is no drama for hot engine starts; with the 0-degree advance electronic ignition at zero RPM and with choke off, starts are immediate. Max advance on the ignition is 29 degrees. My

If you noticed in my picture you saw a thread wrapped around the balloon and if thread ?falls off that means the balloon has qshrunk which means you have an air leak. Why make it difficult? ?Keep it simple Paul ViskBelleville Il618-406-4705 Original message From: Global

Yes you use a regulator on the air line or use a hand pump or be quick on the disconnect. Your air compressor may have 150 lbs in the tank but you can still manage to fill a tire with 35. You would only need 2 lbs air to test the tank and if your in a hurry to do a bunch you could put the tank

One thing I didn't see mentioned here is to use extremely LOW pressure. One to two pounds through a regulator. Don't think you will be fast enough to just shoot a little in there. Otherwise your square tank will become streamlined. As usual don't ask how I know this. Stephen Teate Paradise,

I think your Ellison EFS-3A is the gold standard. No float bowls, no adjustments ever needed beyond initial set up. Carb ice resistant. Aerobatic. The "mist bar" method of introducing fuel into the induction system contributes to an even distribution of fuel to the cylinders. I assume the

Be aware the balloon will expand and contract with any change in tank temperature. Take your measurements when the temperature is the same on 2 consecutive days. Paul. Sent from my HTC One XL on the Telstra 4G network - Reply message - From: "Paul VISK via KRnet" To: "KR EMAIL
