Do you necessarily need a 4 into1?
How about something like this:

We (Larry Bell and I) have most of a VW type 4 that we would sell fairly cheap

Dear All,
I
If anyone is interested on a couple of O-290 (ground power unit) engines- a
friend of mine has a pair (ALL IN PIECES) of them. They were for his Thorpe 18
but he got an O-320 for it and now they are spare.
If he were to get $100 per engine I think that he would be happy.
He (and I) are in the

We have a pair of wing tanks, look brand new but were installed in my
project plane prior to removal. They are 10 gallons each and fit in the
outer wing bays. Asking $600.00 for the pair but willing to talk

I just checked on the price of extruded polystyrene at Whitecap- it is $76 per
sheet (2" x 4' x 8'). Does that sound anything near appropriate? It sounds
about 4 times as expensive as I would have thought!

I was avoiding extruded polystyrene since I couldn't find it here in Southern
California but since you brought it up again I have found that it is available
near here (near French Valley) in Temecula at Whitecaps:
buy a whole bun...2 x 3 x 4 foot...but they cut it up any

I have been searching for large pieces of foam for the KR2
Is this the best (or at least a usable) source for the correct stuff?

KR newsletter Sep 1978, has comments from an
Oshkosh Forum where Ken Rand stated 3/32s is actually better.

I am just guessing here but I would think that the only way to realistically
got a 200 cruise would be to go with retractable landing gear.
Anyone confirm/deny this?

Not that I advocate it but there are KR1 plans on Ebay that are sold with the
caveat that they are for "investigation only" and not to be used to build the
plane.
To get a set of these while you are waiting for the official ones is an option-
it is still good to get a real set and support the
I have some KR2 wingtanks on Barnstormers right now
I priced them fairly high but will give a pretty good deal to a KR forum member

I am working on restarting a stalled KR project and have a set of plans but for
the life of me I can't find the requirements for the fiberglass cloth.
Anyone tell me where the reference is in the plans?

I take it that you are out here on the left coast- if so and you need wing
skins there are a very nice pair here in San Diego
He is asking 5200 for everything (on Barnstormers) but it may be possible to
get him to split it up, we could use some of his parts too

We are getting our KR2 close (year or two) to completion-
in our area we will need a transponder (San Diego)
We may as well go with a "mode S" since it will be required soon.
What is the collective opinion of the group for a "modestly priced" one that
will work for us?
