Lots of old geezers too, maybe. Reminds me of 'Lou' bless his heart. Lou was
a retired guy, was in Naval aircraft of some sort. Flew a lot. Was a

Just theoreticall, What do you guys think and aerodynamically optimized Kr1

level with a 200 lb pilot... If it had a 180 HP v6 conversion hanging off the
front? Something like the Gk1 but with the better airfoil. The G
I have to say, I was really looking forward to a gathering in Granada, MS and

KRnetHeads,
I've been thinking for a couple of years now that while Mount Vernon is a great
place for the KR Gathering (there may be no better place), I miss going
somewhere different. I wouldn never have gone to Red Oak Iowa, Pine Bluff

I meant to say "100 RPM or more" at the top end.

Sorry about the rant. I get these fits. Participants are doing much

There's an hour me

may be the answer that ties it all together especially if the "several
tach/hour meters" were Tiny Tachs!
Hi Mark;
Well then I'm confusing it with Dan Diehl's statement and adding it twice
then but that's still 1.46 yea

I did some checking into this myself. The way I understand it,
there are two classes of LSA. Those being S-LSA which are factory built
LSA compliant airplanes. These are not "certified" planes, rather are
build to accepted standards and are self-regulated by the manufacturer.

I just came back from flying around the airport (2W6) in a rented C-150.
Definitely not a KR-2 but it does recharge my mental batteries for a little
while. Now it is back to drilling holes in my KR-2 firewall for fuel,
electrical, cables,

You guys need to take advantage of the past writings in the KRNet archive on

Hi Guys and Girls;
I dug out the log books of O'l Blue (N4DD), there are several of them.
They are sometimes difficult to read so I transcribed them into a computer
file.
Bob Glidden and I settled on about 1850 hours total time on the airframe at
the last annual. It has had several engines
I know there has been considerable conversations about the suitability of a
