My experience with the PC680 has been similar to Jeff Scott.
The one is my KR is 8 years and counting and it sits all winter every year. No
issues with it at all. Light charge every spring before the first start up and
it’s good to go.

The old literature I have from Diehl Aero-Nautical on the KR 2 Landing Gear
states “gear has been tested to 5Gs” .
I also have had a few bad “drop in “ landings that tested the gear to that
extent and it has never cracked or failed.

The Diehl plans say to place them as close to the fuselage as possible.
Use the appropriate AN bolts and lock nuts to mount to the spar.

I will send you a picture of mine but they are "stock" length as per page 88 of
the KR plans.
Mine measure 5.25 inches from rod end to rod end.
I used 2 AN490htp rod ends riveted to 1/2 inch x.035 Al tubing for the rod.

I have been using the Cessna style split master switch for 300 hours on my KR2S
with no problems?
Nice to be able to isolate the alternator and battery using this switch for
troubleshooting.
I would recommend using it.

The West System pumps are great for dispensing the resin and hardener but you
should mix the batches using an accurate weigh scale to get the ratio correct.
Air bubbles in the pumps can sometimes bias the mix ratio unless you check
every batch.

In Canada , you need to have the data plate installed permanently ( with the C
of R letters on it) before your final inspection by MD-RA.
The EAA data plate works great if you just trim off "Experimental" on the top
line. Rivet it onto the fuselage side under the stab.
