My question is, Why mount the ELT on the ground plane? An ELT when working requires nothing but an antenna off the top. If you are using a separate antenna I would move the ELT to the side. I have 3 ELT's 2 are mounted to the side of the fuselage (1 fabric 1 glass) with the antenna hooked to

Don't know anything about this specific engine, but it might be worth looking over if you're in that part of the country. $5500 for a freshly overhauled engine would pique my curiosity. It's undoubtedly a field overhaul, so I would read through the logs very closely to see what wasn't done,

Hi Netters. This is for those that are building and for those that have built their KRs. Out an extra layer of glass on the wing walk area. Put some adhesive gritty strips on this area. Protect the wing while building by cutting a piece of carpet to fit this area. Cut strips of wood about

Hey Boys: For those of you who want a more modern engine, I've got a Subaru EJ-22 with a Les Palmer PSRU for sale. It has a total of 55 hours on it and runs great. It is a little heavier than an O-200, but it has some very positive aspects to it. I'm asking $3,500. Ron (805)

Reread the my previous post. I ran across this ad on barnstormers.com and know nothing about it beyond what's in the ad. It is located somewhere in NY. An O-200 Continental is nominally 100 HP. I would suggest having the owner scan the last few years of logs and all of the overhaul

Dan, I saw that you were having to really tug on it to get it engaged. My first thought was that you might want to adjust the bolt that pushes the electrical contacts so it makes contact a bit easier. The starter gear is probably already fully engaged. I also noticed that your starter cable
