I have a pair of heads for 2180 VW and it appears that they are machined for dual plugs but I am bit confused because the secondary holes are drilled and have tubes that come up into the valve cover area. I don't see how plugs can be used there unless the tubes are supposed to be extended up thr

Bob, Yes, that is the original Revmaster design. My Revmaster engine and heads came that way. They work, but you must remove the valve cover before you can access the plugs. When I replaced my heads, I replaced them with the Great Plains version - much better. Rob Schmitt N1852Z -Original
