Hi Spiders,
Thanks to all for the lighting magnification suggestions. I've decided to put off
buying an Ott light until I can
actually get my hands on one and have a good look. Plus it's really a bit out of my
budget at the moment. I'll also not
worry about magnifier just yet. I went to Ikea

I have ordered several books from the German Lace Guild successfully. I used the fax
number on the website to send my order. It is expensive as they add a percentage for
credit card orders and the postage to South Africa is not cheap.
The books were certainly worth the trouble. The quality
Sorry to post this to the list, but I cannot find Dora Northern's email
address.
Many thanks Dora for your snail mail. The basket of flowers was much admired
at our Friday meeting as was the bird. I loved them all.
I hope to visit Idrija next year for the Festival.
Thanks too to Tess for

Hi Sharon,
I recently had a similar problem. I offered to try to sell

had passed away.
I first scanned them, and put pictures on my little website.

I wrote to Dover over the weekend explaining about the missing and

I did buy it directly from them, so
Emma, that's wonderful. I'm glad you're going to get a complete, correct

We have some exciting news. DD1 became engaged to her boyfriend last

Congratulations, Yvonne! And best wishes to the happy couple! You're lucky
they're not getting engaged after having had 2 daughters, like my stepDD!!
At least she's now engaged to the father of the first daughter (14
DH, very foolishly, chatted to someone he doesn't know, who contacted him
this morning via MSN Instant Messaging. The person claimed they were from
the Phillipines, and DH tends to believe people are who they say they are,

Hi Secret Pal in Australia,

Dear Kiwi SP,
Your parcel to me arrived this morning.
Whooow what a lovely selection of goodies you sent to me.
NZ Lace Society magnet is already on the lid of my pin tin - I love all
different badges, club pins etc.
The napkins are always handy to have and I like the motif you chose for me.
Just a note that as I am now unsubcribing from the lists, will anyone
else who wants a copy of Sally Barry's Luton Lace Treasury II mailed to
them from the UK, payable in GBP, please be sure to email me privately.
Otherwise, I won't see your request. Likewise, if you notice such a

Hello Gentle Spiders,
Just decided to let all know my exciting (not) happenings. I can laugh
now, but not when it happened. A couple of days ago, I decided to remove
the glass door from our entertainment center, I figured I'd better do it
before the grandbaby broke it. I loosened one screw

Lots of you - in the US - read Dave Barry's column in the various

Those of you - in the US and abroad - who are not familiar with Barry's
