As Robin kindly pointed out - you do need a U for later in the word Qiviut, so I guess you can use it with the Q to make a more well known word. Whether this has been included in the new English Oxford Dictionary or not, but had been included in the Canadian version, along with a few other

Oops! sue blushes I thought the word didn't look quite right when I was typing it, but just couldn't quite figure out why! I wonder if it has anything to do with the different languages that use sounds that we (with this particular alphabet) symbolize with a q. I don't think (but dunno for sure)
