willing to share my patterns, but do like to have the credit for them. I
suppose all we can do is be vigilant and hope that we win out in the end.

Has anyone received their April 2013 copy of Lace?
I only
re-joined the Lace Guild last year so not sure if the April issue is held back

I had just read Hazel's message asking whether anyone had received their

Posted on April 26th.

Overseas copies are posted out from The Hollies a few days earlier than
the UK copies which, because of the quantity, are sent out via a mailing
house - the timing of posting is such that everyone should receive their
magazine on or as soon as possible after the publication date.

There have been a few posts about airfares and how expensive they can be. The
New York Times ran an article on how to save money on fares.
Check out flights that have more than one stop, with one stop being your actual
destination...i.e. this year's IOLI convention. Say you live in Cleveland,
Publication date for April's Lace is 30th April, ie yesterday, so given
the occasional vagaries of the postal system I don't count it as late
yet (others might disagree!). You should get it within the next day or
so, but if you haven't received it by 10th May either email or phone The

S'mores are a camping/bonfire sort of treat, at least that's how I

You roast a marshmallow over a fire, until its all nice and gooey and
toasty and then you sandwich it and a bit of chocolate between two
graham crackers and enjoy.
Sugar rush extraordinaire. :)

A rather silly thing to do with a toasted marshmallow.
When I go to that much trouble, I want to eat the

My, you do have some strange food.
I do know what a weaner is - we had a TV programme laughing at US public

Hi Jean,
Actually, they are not weaners but wienersas in Wien aka
Vienna. They are also known as frankfurters as in from Frankfurt, or
