Another option is using the 'insert' option - I don't know about Mac - I
put in the above letters using the 'insert' option in my e-mail program.
I know that they are available in Word also.

I would caution any brand new learner not to use both books at the same
time. Both are good, (the Torchon book being my favorite), but because
Southard's book is slightly different - it could cause much confusion in
a new learner who doesn't have a teacher close by.

If someone finds (or makes) one of these - please let me know - I'd love
to have one! I'm currently working on an MBA and dreadfully miss the
lace making time! This lace list keeps me in touch - even though my
pillows are put away.

I don't think there are fillings in the center. It's more like a line
drawing, with the lace forming lines of different thickness. If someone
can tell me how to upload pictures to the webshots folder, I will put a
scanned picture up there so you can see it.
