I ended up answering my own question, because I wanted to know. I’ll do it both ways. All but one of the chateaux are in northern France. Most are in the Loire Valley, more or less. Chambord, Chaumont, Maintenon (actually close to Chartres, which is not in the Loire Valley, but close), Luyne
