Hello Suzy
the formulas are excellent brenda, and i'm totally confused. i was a
little mistaken by the size. they sell it in 66/3, but don't worry
because i found another maker of 3 ply linen thread which gives the
length of the thread. i'm going to write the company (email) and ask

i'm happy hopefully to still get the same thread then. goldschild
sounded like some really nice thread, and so did londonderry. i'm also
happy with the colors they offer, and i can contact this manufacturer
and get a reply. i really like the yellows.

I'm not 100% certain but I think the two are the same thread, just

i've found that out now. i also found a new company that has a website

thanks for the info on the thread. that would not have been the right
size. maybe i'll try the size 80 in linen and it will be a size 60 in
cotton thread? i've given up. i'll just go shopping and find out!!
lol. i'll write the "goldschild" website for the information and they

Hello Suzy
that sounds like an acurate round-about length guage thank you.
i'm looking to buy size 60/3, so i'm willing to guess that is it

oops no, not 60/3 linen, not that many yards. sorry - that is a fairly
thick thread, as others have pointed out - the linen size is different
from cotton - I was thinking in terms of the 25 grams. Linen 60/3 is
close in size (a tad thicker, actually) to DMC Cordonnet 30, or DMC
Cebelia 30 - these s

It will vary, depending on the thickness of thread - the ticker the
