Hello Ruth,
I think the success of the treatment depends on a couple of
things
I know this and I did as described. By the way the stains have gone
after washing the tablecloth as i always do. Ok next time I use perhaps
nothing than washing or all the salt I can found in my kitchen
Oh yes, I too have heard of this method but never believed in it, and
lucky me never needed it. Till two weeks ago when DP let slip the wine
bottle out of his hand, red wine. There were only a few little spots
because I was able to catch the bottle. And I was to lazy to put away
the table
, and it
worked for me!)

Re - wine stains, I think I read somewhere that if you put white wine on
a red wine spill it dilutes it but it seems an awful waste of wine to
me.
Happy lacing

Dear Lacemakers,
Yes, I have heard
Soda water will also remove red wine stains- particularly on carpets. Wet a
cloth with it, then work from the outside in so as not to spread the stain,
and also not making the area too wet. Dry with a dry cloth.
