http://sh314.sajthotellet.com/eng_index.htm I do not know if FFS offers
pre-pricked patterns, as was stated by another lister, but they offer a wide

The FFS has only pre-pricked patterns for sale, as far as I know. They have
a machine that pricks and prints the pattern on thick cardboard, fascinating
to watch working!

If there is an attachment that is called sanitizer along with my
Tess, I would suggest that you contact the Metropolitan Museum (maybe even
our own Devon). As you know, the relationship between the NB Club and the
Met was very close, and they would be likely to have the early issues of
the magazine. -- Aurelia

Nicky,
The bobbins came in the mail yesterday, thank you so
much! They make such great music when I roll them
together in my hand. And the history is a wonderful
thing to have, I'll make sure that stays with them.

In the description it says that it is very likely from the Island of Malta.
It may well be from the island of Malta. There are many lacemakers on Malta
who do not make Maltese lace. A couple of years ago, there was a
I'm looking at a couple of books on Russian tape lace and wonder if anyone
that has them thinks they offer enough instruction for a newer lace maker. I
ususally borrow books from IOLI so I can see if they are something I can work
my way through before I buy them, but they don't have these.
I couldn't agree more. I love bookmarks. I've designed a couple but
always love looking for new ones!

Anyway,
Nicky.
I just recieved the bobbins today, they are so beautiful, almost to beautiful
to use, but you can be sure that they will get much use from me. If you ever
have the want or need to downgrade your stash some more please don't hesitate
to think of me. It is quite hard to come accross
I have made a lot of bookmarks, each one different and each one pretty
gorgeous (even if I do say so myself!), using the same pricking for all of
them, namely, Christine Springett's fan bookmark on p. 81 of her book The
Christmas Lace Book, published in 1991. I think the book was
self-published;
hi everyone
i posted to both lists because some of you who only have lace chat might be
interested by this curiosity: a french lace museum with a website !!!
You might remember that some time ago i acted as spokesperson for the
museum because they wanted to reach lacers worlwide and were'nt
I've seen this before, but not under David Copperfield's name. So I already
knew how it's done.

Yes, Lynn, the fires have begun. This morning dawned still, clear and bright,
but around lunchtime the smoke from the fires in Sydney started drifting our
way. Now, with the winds picking up and becoming very strong again, the smoke
is very thick. Even though we shut all the doors and windows
At Christmas, my sister delighted several young members of
our family by giving them tiny little boxes that had been
made by folding money. Money Origami... Inside each box
(which required two bills to make) she had another folded
bill. So each recipient could spend it all, keep it all -

I have to say it but these two seem rather obvious - firstly what is the
pretty girl doing on the ladder in the first place? (perhaps eloping
which is why it foretells marriage)
And obviously, falling from a ladder is damn bad luck!!

Hi everyone,
Oregon is thawing out slowly. My town has warmed up past freezing so the
snow and ice are melting. Most of the streets are clear, or just
slush. Half or more of the snow on the lawn has melted. Offices,
businesses, etc are getting back to normal. I'm not sure if the local
