postings what it must have been.
Since it hasn't generated further activity (apart from discussion on
Arachne), I think it's safe to ignore it.

I opened the message (apparently with no ill-effects) But it raises a
question:
Avital, I opened it because the subject line started with
I dug the message out of the Trash and went through the header and the
membership lists. It came from someone who is subscribed to
lace-digest. Whether it's a Trojan horse or virus that has hijacked
her addressbook, I don't know, but there is nothing to worry about.

was too late at night to change it. I've been busy changing the daily

reason that we didn't say what it was was because -
Apart from the original message, all of those asking if it was spam, have
ended up in my spam folder because that word is in the subject!
I've had to retrieve them to see if they were important.
