Spiders, forgive me for reposting. But, I did not get the original Jeri post
about Santina Levey and asked her for it. I wouldnât have known about it if
Noelene hadnât referenced it. Thanks, Noelene.
I think that for the most part my gmail gets through. I am totally uncertain
about how many
Dear Arachnids
I met Santina several times, she was a lovely and generous lady. She helped me
when I was writing my Bucks books by offering to date the samples I was
studying. Some of the replies she gave to comments I made about some that
puzzled me, and her suspicion that there were other dates
It is strange that I get Devon's email to the list but not Jeri's. I don't
understand why some aol posts work and others don't. They don't even arrive
in the spam box, but are just completely missing.
With the ease of getting a gmail address these days, I wonder if that would
help you both
Hello Devon and everyone
Jeri's e-mails do show at Lace - The Mail Archive
https://www.mail-archive.com/lace@arachne.com/
and probably always via the lace-digest. So many of us receive the
reflected list (individual messages) that I must say, agreeing with Sue, a
gmail address is better for tech.
I have to agree with Nancy on this. I was shocked to see the unhappiness rise
up so suddenly and wonder if it might have been better if it had been resolved
privately between those upset by it? Rumblings across the list are disruptive
to the usual kindness and helpfulness I usually see.
While
Yes they do appear in the archive, but if I don't receive the original
message from Jeri I don't know one has been sent, so I don't know to go to
the archive to look for it! When someone replies to Jeri online, then I
know to go to the archives. A frustrating necessity!

Dear spiders
What is the Belgian color code for the turning stitch: cttct?

Dear Bev and Sue,
In July, I had a lace maker with great computer technical experience as a
guest here for a week. It seemed like an ideal time to perhaps set up a
gmail account. She is subscribed to Arachne, and knows the history of my
problems. She looked at all my AOL files and
Isn't it a little black circle at the turning part?

For technical reasons I just need a color, without annotations like circles
or cross marks.
In the mean time I remembered some pages on Pinterest. One page of Ulrike's
book on Torchon uses brown for ctt.
There is also a spiral bound book "Jolanda's vogels" (birds) she uses also

I agree with Bev. I don't get the messages from AOL and Yahoo, but as far
as I know, everyone can get gmail messages. It's easy to sign up with gmail
and it's free. If you have been storing Arachne messages in a mailbox at
another email address, on AOL for example, you can always forward
There is no mystery about why my emails are getting through. I bit the bullet
and got a Gmail account which I use exclusively for Arachne.

Good question. Might it be a green intersection (half stitch), little
hatch mark for another twist, then another green intersection (halfstitch)?
If there's no pin in the center of all that, it would pull up into a
turning stitch, so the diagram would be right for the thread movements.

Arachne is such a caring, sharing group, I am totally gobsmacked. Please,
let's not allow hurt feelings to divide us or derail our holiday exchange. We
are so lucky to have several cheerful, willing & capable volunteers who want to
make our exchange a success. Most groups can't find

I own one of the pieces shown in the article... the woman with the sheaves
of grain in the article, as well as another one of a woman looking out a
window.
Well said, Susan!. Thanks for putting all that into words. I cannot work
out what has really happened here - nor do I really want to - so hope that
your words will bring peace and reconciliation

The lace is painted?? I am astonished to hear that. Do you think it starts
out as who thread and then the color is added? Or is the paint just used as a
stiffener?

Hi Lin and other Arachnids ,
I had not realised that the organisation had been high-jacked either. As I
would not wish to hurt either Janet Theaker or Jenny B who have done a
wonderful job in the previous years I will need to withdraw from Lins list.
Sorry about the misunderstanding. I thought
Dear fellow spiders,
I haven't, nor am I signed up to participate in the card exchange, so I
don't have a horse in this race. From an outside perspective, however, I
suggest that "hijacked" is a really loaded word, and maybe should be
avoided.
There's probably been some extensive confusion
I agree Nancy and hope so too.
