Does anyone know the reason why i can't run my Database-Application

It seems to have to do with makeing a database-connect or not.
It is freezing. If running standalone, everything is OK.
I tried some of the daily snapshots for lazarus 0.9.9
I used SQLDB with
It's easy to bash up another project. Instead, people using Lazarus

no ones knows about it and everyone knows about Eclipse?

Hello,
I see that there seems to be XML-RPC-functionality comming with FPC
(under \fpcsrc\fcl\net there are some units which are dealing with XML-RPC).
I need to write a little XML-RPC-Client and don't want to do that in

Perhaps somebody can give a little example or some tips
Hi,
I installed (I thought) Printer4Lazarus on Laz 0.9.8 under my Mdk 10.1, but
nothing has changed in the IDE, and when I check the package graphic window,
it is there with the mention to install at next start. I restarted twice,

What did I miss ?
Thanks

Hi,
this week-end, I have been browsing at my local book store:
-- hundreds of book about Java, php, html, C++, etc... Many many more
books than actual programers!
-- five books about eclipse.
-- one or two old books about Delphi,

Lazarus and Eclipse are compared as two IDEs, and why the most bloated
one seem to be the most successful too.
In my view, this is due to a lack of marketing effort from the
freepascal and lazarus project, and the old school image associated
with Pascal in general. This is surely not helped by

Maybe a way would be to advertise both Lazarus and Freepascal
together, a bit the same way that no one would envisage Delphi without
the GUI.
The marketing side of things could be improved to convert more
easily new users to Freepascal / Lazarus by making the whole concept
more appealing
