Hello All,
I have read the shorewall documentation (Thanks Tom), installed all the
modules, packages etc to get poptop working except I need to know about
the OS's etc/network/interfaces file. Presumably every client ( I really
only expect 1) needs its own interface definition e.g.

Hi folks,
Can you tell me where to find the initrd.cdrom file (that I would need
to rename to initrd.lrp) that's supposed to be in the Bering contrib
directory, so I can boot Bering from a CD? I don't find the file...hmmm.
Thanks.

Hello, I'm new to the list.
I'm looking for an easy way to have a floppy-based
ppp/dial-up router w. analog/serial modem,
dhcp-server for my internal hosts,
and a printserver
all this on a 486/66 32 MB RAM (HD if really needed)
nothing more
fli4l doesn't really support analog modems --
By dial-up router you mean, link your internal network to the
internet or serve dial-up access?
I use Bering, conecting my home net through a dial-up modem (56K).
For printserver services, I use my Samba server (another machine).
Try Bering:

I am trying to install wisp to an 8 meg SanDisk CF

dd command is writing less then it is reading, will
the 1 less record matter ? See output below.

Ok, the ISP said 10mbps full duplex. I grabbed mii-diag and
vortex-diag and
ran them. Forcing it there does not resolve the errors. Neither did
setting it
to half-duplex. Setting to 100mbps just made things worse. :-(
SO, I guess I'll have to live with the error messages ...
