Hi folks,
I'm guessing I don't have DNS (dnqmasq) set up correctly on the new Bering.
I can reach the internet (like Google for example) just fine by using its IP
address (66.102.7.99), but I can't otherwise.
I set up the new Bering (Bering-uClibc_3.0-beta2) dnsmasq just like my old

Should I change things back to their default settings and then start

Hello Craig,
The only modification necessary, if you use dhcpc and want the integrated
dhcp daemon, is:
resolve-file=/etc/dhcpc/resolv.conf
and
dhcp-range=192.168.1.1,192.168.1.199,12h

Gentlemen,
Thank you both for your input. I was looking at the documents that Eric

Hello list-
I'm running Bering uClibc v3.0Beta2.
I'm booting from CD and storing leaf.cfg, configdb.lrp and moddb.lrp on
a USB flash drive.
In the process of editing the contents of moddb.lrp offline I've
encountered something I haven't seen before.
I copied moddb.lrp from the flash drive to
Hi Brent,
How do you use tar?
If I do the following on my LEAF (3.0beta2) box:

Hi Brent,
Strange, I can't replicate your problem. You can send me your moddb.lrp

Hi all,
I'm giving bering v3.0 beta 1 a spin, but ran into problems getting it
up and running. After a couple of days pulling my hair out while trying
various things, I isolated my problem to being a missing usb host
driver. The image I downloaded was this one:
I just noticed after making my last post that bering 3.0 beta 2 is

there is no mention of the bug I found in the changes file. The link for

Have you looked at the permissions on the file to make sure it is executable

If not, do chmod +x /usr/sbin/openvpn and see if that changes the situation.

I made the changes that Eric suggested, and I still can't resolve names. I

When they are not pingable, we tracert it to see the point of failure. The

Usually by the time I can check it the issue

Hi Izzy,
From what I understand of it, some systems (the majority) use usb-uhci and
some use ehci-hcd. That could be a reason why you have a problem with
booting and others have not.
I'm interested to know if loading both modules works in every situation
and don't break systems that have an uhci
