Christ that's going back some.
I remember the Shaftsbury on York Road. Saturday mornings with Flash Gordon.
Vague memories of the Gaiety in Harehills before the Gaiety fell into the beck
alongside.
Also the Kingsway. Always getting thrown out. My epic so to speak was getting
thrown out before

Is that the one you mean ?

Anyone remember The Princess (I think it was) on Richmond Hill, maybe Lavender
Walk or close by.
It's now a chippie I think.
(Must be a hell of a big chippie though).
or how about The Dominion in Chapel Allerton ?
What was that first film about Flubber. Was it The Absent minded professor ?
Come on Matt, day out in London and probably the biggest Leeds support in the
capital for many a year (apart from Wembley).
It's getting boring beating Scum every year.

Our last 3 draws in the FA Cup have been:
Red Drivel (a)
Tottenham (a)
Arsenal (a)
All great high profile money spinning games, but if like me you dream of
getting to Wembley every year, Plymouth or someone at home every now and then
would be nice.
We're not gonna win the thing anytime soon mate. Might as well have a
decent weekend in London, few beers, lots of singing etc.
Can we add Jimmy Floyd Piggybaink to the 'if only' list v Arsenal.
Don't see why we couldn't get a result against their kids.

The earliest cinema memory I have is the Saturday morning rush at the
Shaftesbury, and, considering we moved from the Osmondthorpe area in 1959,
this would make me about 4 years old. My next regular cinema was, and
remained for a few years, the Lounge at Headingley - with just occasional

I forgot about The Lyric on Tong Road. That was truly a fleapit towards the
end. I saw Rocky IV there in around '86.
As for Cottage Road, saw ET there and The Lounge ... ruined it when they
tacked The Arc on to it back in the 90s

I never went to the Lounge after they changed it, so thankfully I can
retain my fond memories of the place

What is the financial upside for us of getting drawn away to a(nother?) big
club? Do we get some share of gate receipts or TV money, or do we need to bring
them back to Elland Road for a replay to make any dosh?
Cheers!
