So the question is what happened to Leeds 's money? Grayson said that a signing is imminent - who knows ? Some Barnsley thoughts when I get time today but don't get to thinking the goals last night were the back fours fault ! So if the share of the gate receipts is 42.5%, and not 25% as I thought, than that means that having played at Old Trafford, Emirates, and WHL over the last two seasons that would be over GBP2 million from those three games alone - not including the bonus home ties, or the telly appearance money (which used to be about GBP250k per FA Cup game). Which does make you wonder where all that money has gone? Thanks to those for the stats on mid week vs weekend games (depressing as they are). Anyone want to do an analysis of local derbies over the last season or two to see if we don't usually perform in those games either? Btw, the Rising Sun is now a second hand furniture shop. I'm fairly sure that it used to be the away team in an FA Cup tie could ask for up to 25% of the seats, and got 25% of the ticket money. Which is why all smaller clubs want a tie with one of the 'big' teams. Crawley for instance getting 25% of Old Trafford ticket money on the weekend would be like winning the lottery for them. So we should have got 25% of Old Trafford too last year, and White Hart Lane, and Emirates this year. That would add up to quite a bit of dosh. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I was always under the impression that gate money was 40% - 40% with 20% going to the FA. But aren't TV rights individually negociated nowadays? Damian PS I remember that Highbury used to be famous for its ghost turnstiles (you would have sworn they were there but they never showed up in attendance figures or tax returns). I suppose all that is a thing of the past now. I'll give you the Grove! Horse and Trumpet maybe, I don't like The Ship since they got rid of the authentic ship memorabilia, to be replaced by fake-old-fashioned memorabilia! Duck and Drake don't do Tetley's The Palace is one of the few pubs that, in my opinion, has improved since they did it up, and it does do Tetleys. I also agree that Leeds Pale is a nice pint - The Brewery Tap near the station serves a good pint.
