Yeah your right, the shirt and shorts never did quite match, probably because
the shirt was made of heavyweight cotton and the shorts of nylon, never managed
to get a badge for my shirt till a lot later on i seem to remember

Firstly, a bit of an admission: as a joke, my wife gave me David Beckham:

Funny you should mention the white kit of Leeds.
I was born and bred in Wimbledon (don't flame me for being a southern softy!),
for my 5th birthday, i got my first kit a white kit, a pure white kit,
all my mum could probably afford as my dad died suddenly 2 years previous. I

round market stalls and sports shops to get an affordable badge that would
transform your white football shirt into a Leeds shirt (once your mam had
sown it on of course - which could add a couple of weeks to the whole
As for a pure white kit, the shorts never quite matched the shirt.
Vaguely annoying but not the end of the world as my blow-up poster of
Paul Madeley showed that he had the same problem ;)
