Perhaps making the machine a standard 48"? Try to start out with a single model that serves 80% of the wishes? And then have upgradability? And perhaps designing the machine with the ability to be shipped flat

I sometimes wonder what the current market would bear if someone were to get
Legacy's pemission to build and market a manual machine like the LOM Evolution.
With them being 100% CNC now, would they consider it?
With all the experience that this group has, perhaps an (almost) all

Hi Dustin
As Curt says Legacy dropped all their manual machines from their business
line-up and went 100% CNC. I am afraid he is wrong in on one point, it was not
to follow the money as he states, but to survive in business and keep paying
the members of staff at Legacy.
That is called doing
Hey DustinSadly Just after this video was made, Legacy drooped all the manual
machines form its business line-up.
Legacy as a business , decided to go 100% CNC. and follow the money.
The sad part for us, the Manual machine users, was. just before the end, they
were producing machines that
Wow, thanks for the video link! I really like the upgrades on the
evolution. I always thought I'd need a longer bed(which is why I bought the
1200), but the reality is that I almost never run anything over 4 feet,
with 2 and 3 feet being the norm. This would have been a great machine. I'm

It is a little difficult to see what is special about the EVO, What can it do
that a Revo can't other than the Z axis.???
I have tried to enlarge the pic that you kindly put up,, but no joy.

HI Richard. What makes the EVO neat is the higher quality of the mill its
self.all the rails are linear slide rails, the Z axis is also linear rail,
which means finer control and easier movement when cutting. There are also some
neat fetchers of the Z axis on the EVO. that I have never tried,
I am not convinced that one was sold to any one.
The reason it was only 36" was simply that was what Andy and I discussed, yes
I did have some input because back then I was still selling Legacy. If Andy
had been making manual machines today I would still be selling them even though

So the guy in Alaska got my mill since only one was made? As curt pointed out,
I would have not been happy with it anyway. Talk about bringing up old wounds.

This is the only photo that I have. and sadly it just dose not show enough.
I my memory serves me right. the EVO was made 2014- 2015
although it was a very nice looking machine, the 36" length was just to small
for me. If it was 60" I would have most likely have bought it...?
