By the way you do know that spiral is done with a long spiral bit from the side
not from the top right ?

On the 10 th Feb aussiman posted some images ,many thanks for them. I
noticed one had a ribbon twist and owing to the fact that my good Wife has
just bought handles for the kitchen cabinets { expensive )
I wonder what toothed gear do I need on my Revo to have a go at making them
?? If
It depends on what pitch you wish to make like any other spiral use your gear
chart and select it

Curtis,Thanks. EXELLENT article!The article seems to show/instruct cutting this particular "Ribbon Twist" from the top - not the side. I like the idea of tilting the router's base - to produce the "special effect". Lots of possibilities there - by experimenting with various amounts of "tilt".

it is. I cannot prove it at present because my old samples of Legacy turnings
