Ross,
I took this on as a challenge. I searched everywhere in the program
and could not find this as an option anywhere. It would be good to be
able to search this way, but I can't come up with one using only the
Legacy program. I'm sure our friends who are proficient in Access

The blank entries for excluded sources is a separate issue. In fact that
problem has been solved and the fix will be included in the next update

Joyce,
In addition to the tagged individuals suggested by Jenny the Record
Selection screen also has an option to use a focus group. Select that
then click on the view/select focus group button. On the focus group
screen you can add an individual and all descendants.

It is possible that you are related more than once to the people who are

I looked in the archives and couldn't find an answer for this. I have a
marriage application from the GRO in England and an application from a Soldiers
and Sailors Home. I'm using the Sourcewriter and am not sure where to look. Is
there a Sourcewriter template for these types of sources?
Melanie,
I am in England and am not sure what you mean. I do not know what a Marriage
application is, unless you are referring to a marriage request from someone in
the Armed Forces - if so can you say what year, when and which branch of the
Services. You could also mean an application for a
Ron,
I have some sort of marriage application from the GRO. It has the

Thank you Brian. I should have known! My Cornish g/grandmother married her

My 37 page report is now 35 pages :-)
Thanks again.

Melanie,

OK, I will reply to the second part later except to say that there is not a
template for it - artifacts is probably as close as you can get. I hope to get

Melanie,
I think what you are looking for is SSAFA, this grew out of the Soldiers and
Sailors Association, and you will find them at http://www.ssafa.org.uk/ . I
would imagine that should you contact them, they may well be able to help with
your relative, and may even give you any details
I keep getting the error Run Time Error 3167, Record is Deleted and when I

individual I worked on or entered was deleted, but it never is. This has

Hi Folks,
How to do the above? 16K individuals, ca. 2K Livings.
1. Tag all Livings on 1. Select each Living one by one,
tag direct ancestors on 1. Export all tagged on 1.
After 2K operations, that would do it, but VERY tedious.
2. Do above, but after each selection tag FAMILY of

He's what I would do to start:
Go to search, and search for all individuals with living set to yes. Then
select each person (you can skip siblings or ancestors of someone you've
already clicked), click options, and then advanced tagging. In the advanced
tagging for each person, hit ancestors

Thanks Patti,
I think that what you suggested amounts to 1). W ca. 2K
Livings, would be tedious.
The idea behind 2) is that after each tagging op, the
number of only tagged on 1 would drop..would make the ops
slightly more efficient

I had a note regarding a burial under Burial Notes. I just noticed on that
it appeared under Marriage Notes when I created the web pages. Any ideas
why? I checked and I had nothing at all under Marriage Notes.
