That's what I did, but it made the person private. When I created a
Descendant's report, instead of his name, the word Private showed. I
want just the EVENT, not the name to be private. appear

Have you checked to see if you have also selected the indivual to be
private? I ask because before sending you my suggestion, I opened up
an individual, clicked edit to open an event, then marked it
private.
I just ran a descendant's report and he is on the report, but the event is NOT.
Thank you so much Virginia. Somehow or other I missed the Private
checkbox on the Edit Event page. I ticked that, changed the Privacy
Settings to Non-private, and it all works out well. Thank you again. I
just hope I remember this

within Legacy on each machine.
I would think that Legacy keeps the location of the Data and Multimedia
files in one of the files with the same filename as the data file. There are
filenames ending with things like TC, FSD, RC3.
