I haven't received an solutions to this, so the best option seems to be
to open the .pdf file in Word 2013 (or later). After it converts, do a
standard Find/Replace, then re-save to .pdf.
(By they way, there are 10 spaces between the parens and the dash.)

Teresa,
You need to sign in to findmypast.com to see the hints. Perhaps you
think you have because you're signed into findmypast.co.uk?
Can you clarify whether you have a partial or full subscription to
findmypast.co.uk?
Does clearing your browser cache help?

Cathy,
Thanks. I went to the location you mentioned and deleted the word
"someone" and clicked on "SAVE" and it corrected it on all the people I had
with no known spouse name. The "married someone" just looked extremely
awkward to me. Right now I just have "married" until I can think of
Hi Cathy
Do you just delete the word “someone” and leave the rest?

The Option that controls this is Options - Customise 8.7
You can change the wording there to get rid of the "someone" - I do.
There is no Apply button or Refresh on the marriage screen so I'm not
positive that it updates automatically or whether it is for future
entries. I don't think it
Thanks Leon. I will try doing it the slow and correct way. I was hoping
for a "one wording fits all" . Thanks again. Ruth

Thank you for your help. I guess I was hoping for changing something that
would change it on all people involved at one time (that would be too
easy). So I will have to try your suggestion and the suggestion of Leon
and do it the proper way.
As far as the dates you were inquiring about. If I

Ruth:
Go to the person that has no wife and click on their Marriage information
below the two people in family view.
In this window, select the Tab at top that says: Wording Options.
You can change the wording options to whatever you like there for that
couple.
Try a few things and
I think this can only be changed in the Marriage/Relationship
Information window for each listing you want to change (i.e., there is
no "global" setting for this that I know of).
With the appropriate Family tab opened, click the Marriage Events button
(screen center - righthand side), then
If I go back several generations I have several great (6, 7 , etc)
grandparents with whom I do not know the name of their spouse or I should
say the other parent of their child.
When the report is created it shows for example "John Green married
someone". Is there a way to get rid of this
Thanks Debby

If choose to see the hints I get to the hints page; but when I choose to
review any o them I get a general error message from FMP ("Ooops, something

Is there a way to suppress (remove) blank spaces in reports?
Specifically, I'm printing a Name List (Index) Report, and for every
listing that lacks birth and death dates, it prints thusly:
John DOE ( - )
Is there a way to eliminate the blanks where there is no data present?
Thanks,
