I live in a somewhat remote rural area where the broadband speed is
about 1.5 Mb/s, so I avoid doing anything via cloud. I simply transfer
.fdb files and appropriate media files via a USB memory stick. Quick and
easy. My backups are to an external hard disk.

For what it's worth, my experience is the same as Brians: tool tips
remain visible for as long as the pointer is over the button.
I am running Legacy 9, build 295, under Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit, version
1803.

Well, well; learn something new every day. I've been using Legacy for
about 10 years, and never knew about the history list! I have now added
it to My Toolbar, and expect to use it frequently.
Thanks Mary!

You are quite right; my "solution" will turn off warnings for everyone.
Trevor Carlson has a much better solution, which should do exactly what
you want.
Best of luck.

Many thanks for all the useful suggestions. I have entered the first

As someone has said before, the trick seems to be to release the mouse
button as soon as you reach the size you want. And that really means
immediately! Any pause, and the window reverts to its original size.
Hope this helps.

Click the "Notes" icon (looks like a reporter's notepad, at the bottom
of the main person field). The window that opens has three tabs, one of
which is "Medical". Cause of death is in there.
Good luck.

In family view, make sure your own entry is
highlighted. Then go to Tools - Set direct line.
This works for me. (I assume you're using Legacy-8)
