I have recently had a hard disk failure, following which I have had a
solid state drive installed to replace the failed disk. This has
meant re-installing Legacy. Fortunately all the data was backed up.
However, I now find that I cannot resize the main window to the size
I like. When I place the pointer over an edge or corner, it changes
to a two-headed arrow as expected, but when I try to drag the edge or
corner, it starts moving, but then drops back to its original size.
Legacy has a long-time bug which makes it incompatible with the
Windows setting to Show Window Contents While Dragging. So this
Windows feature needs to be turned off.
To do this press your keyboard's Windows key along with the
Pause/Break key. Click on Advanced System Settings, then on the
Settings box for Performance. In the listing that appears remove the
tick for "Show window contents while dragging" then click OK a couple
of times.
