Kathy, One question though, I've noticed many people name their files using a dash - to separate fields. Is there a reason that you use that as opposed to say a period . or underline _ or just a space? I hope no one complains about this thread because I am really learning an awful lot here.

In the index view click on the Options Button on the far right side. A small window will open. Uncheck the Include Alternate Names and Include Married Names if you do not want them to show. That is all it is. It is displaying the wives married name(s) and their AKAs. Rick Merrill
