James, After you get the event window loaded with everything you want, including sources, notes and images ect. click on the copy icon in the lower right side of the window (see attached picture) Then go to the next person who is also in the census or what ever the event is, click the add event button, and then the paste icon also in the lower right side of the window (see attached picture) and the complete event with all sources, notes and images will be there.
I might suggest you get the training videos from Legacy. They are really helpful. The one you want for this concept is covered on the DVD called: Researching with Legacy: Mastering Events and Chronologies (CD 5) Rick Merrill James Cook wrote: > Is there any way to copy and paste an event? I think so. I regard a census as an event. This means that for a family I need to enter he details of the census as an event for each person. I add the details as an event for one of them and then use the copy icon to 'load' the clipboard. I go to each other member of the family in turn and click 'add' for events. I then use the paste icon to copy all the census details into their record.
