I have been busy completing a 1970-page book using Legacy 7.5 and only
yesterday was able to begin working in 8.0 I opened one of my well-reviewed
family lines in 8.0 only to find that it is corrupted. Is this a known problem
or has it been fixed? It appears that I have the latest build of

didn't see any problems.
I also restored a backup of this 7.5 family in version 8 and again I didn't
see any problems.
Of course I couldn't look at all individuals but I did check some direct
family lines.

It sounds like you most likely opened the wrong file. Double check your file
names and dates.

Best advice given by Bob Austen. Run check/repair on your 7.5 file and be sure
all errors are repaired before moving forward. Then check a few of the key
families that you thought were corrupted at version 8. If they are corrupted
in 7.5, upgrading to version 8 won't fix that kind of

I was never able to find a solution to 7.5's Notes problem--black type
on black background for any view that had a Notes field. Something to do with
my Nvidia graphics adapter. Tried everything with Tech Support but couldn't
change it.
Is anyone having this trouble on L8?
Is there / when will there be a list of changes 7.5 offers? I'd like
to review it before updating. I know the Family Search thing is the
big one, but as a non-LDS member, its the bug fix. list that I'm more
interested in.
