I am running Windows on a Mac using VMWare Fusion. I think u will like it
better. Crossover, as I understand, is still using Windows XP as the base
Windows system. That is too ancient.

I am considering CrossOver as a way to run Legacy Family Tree 8 on a Mac and
could use some help.
Does any one in the Legacy User Group have experience with CodeWeavers
CrossOver?
There is a new thread on the CodeWeavers, CrossOver, Legacy Family Tree 8.xx
Forum for Legacy User Group
I would also recommend VMWare to run Windows on a Mac and Legacy on the
Windows side.
Works very well for me.

Thank you Peggy. Perhaps if we are LOUD enough Legacy will produce Legacy for

solution for me as well.

Crossover will only with with Legacy v7.5 - not with v8. The

Legacy will run on a Mac with Parallels, Fusion, Bootcamp or

If you get Crossover XI, you don't need to run Windows. I've heard
great things about the program.
Codeweavers even has instructions on installing Legacy under Crossover!
