Tree in my Documents folder but there isn't much in it:
dataempty
PDFs empty
Temple Cards empty
Legacyfs says the program is 7.5 (which is correct)

(To begin, I have Windows 10 OS, Legacy 8 Deluxe Version 8.0.0.538 Build
Date 21 Jan 2016.)
I recently had computer problems (start menu not working) and turned
control of my computer over to remote control by a Windows tech guy.
He moved all of my files so that my Legacy program files are now

and another one in Legacy which the tree program links to. So are you
saying it would get used to linking to the folder on my desktop?
You should have Legacy files in both locations. Your working files are
in the Documents area and are in a series of folders under the Legacy
Family Tree folder. Those are the files used by Legacy when you are
running the program.
The Program Files (x86) area contain both files for the program
In re Legacy 8, I agree that this option is especially helpful and a
time-saver: " and the ability to copy to a different folder and link from
there, ..."

Legacy 7.5 had / has different settings and file locations.
The files in your doc folder can be deleted if you do not intend to
download Legacy 8.

I don't use any of the parts of Legacy that refer to or contain the LDS
stuff as I am not a Member of the Church.
I would guess that any of those things in your directory are empty
because you are not using Legacy 8.
If you are a Member and use the items related to LDS Membership,
