Thanks for the replies everyone,So I guess its more common that people add BMD sources and records by clicking the source icon to the right of the persons last name and not creating an event to add to?My problem with that is to access a birth record you have to go through and look for it in the

I wouldn't say necessarily next to the person's name. It depends what you're using the source document for. If a birth certificate is the source for the person's name then that's what the source is for. But it would also be the source document for their birth date, the parents' names, etc. You
